CopitoWhat Copito does
Four promises, and not one more.
Nothing slips past you
- A message deleted by the sender stays readable in Copito, which can alert you.
- Deleted photos, videos and voice notes: a copy is kept as soon as they arrive (Pro, WhatsApp).
- Read your messages without opening the chat: no read receipt is sent.
- Set aside ⭐ codes, addresses and useful info.
Nothing leaves your phone
- No internet permission: the app can't send anything, even if it wanted to.
- No account, no ads.
- Excluded from cloud backups: your messages stay on this phone.
You stay in control
- Every app is off at first. You only turn on the ones you want.
- Keyword filters and discreet notifications.
- Auto-delete after 7, 30, 90 or 365 days, or never.
- Fingerprint lock (Pro).
Honest, down to the price
- The free version has no ads either.
- Copito Pro is a one-time purchase, no subscription.
- The limits are written in black and white, further down this page.

Don't take our word for it. Check.
An app that reads your notifications should be beyond reproach. With Copito, you can check for yourself in a minute:
- On the Google Play listing, open "About this app", then "App permissions": internet isn't there.
- In Copito, open "Settings": the "No internet permission" line is checked on your own phone.
- Turn on airplane mode: Copito works exactly the same.

What Copito can't do
We'd rather tell you upfront.
- Copito saves what arrives after it's installed. It can't bring back older messages.
- If the notification never shows up (chat open, muted, notifications off, battery saver stopping Copito), there's nothing to keep.
- Copito keeps what the notification shows: some apps shorten long messages.
- A deleted photo or voice note is only kept if it had been downloaded to your phone.
Questions
Which apps does Copito work with?
Messaging apps that show message notifications, like WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and SMS. Deleted photos, videos and voice notes are currently supported for WhatsApp. Copito is not affiliated with WhatsApp Inc. or Meta.
Can I read someone else's messages?
No. Copito keeps the notifications that arrive on your phone. It can't access any other device, and it isn't a tool for monitoring anyone.
Does the sender know I read their message?
When you read a message in Copito, the chat isn't opened in the messaging app, so no read receipt is sent.
Where are my messages stored?
Only on your phone, in the app's private storage. Copito is excluded from cloud backups. Uninstall the app and everything is erased. Details in the privacy policy.
How do I pay for Copito Pro?
Through Google Play, once. Copito never sees your name or payment method, and it still has no internet access.
Your messages. Even deleted ones.
Copito is coming soon to Google Play.
